Hand-crafted 5th Avenue Apple Store Second Life Video

I'm not sure what to call this or even how to describe it. The problem is that it's a video demonstration of about 5 things at once:

  1. First there's the fact that you're watching a video that has been 'filmed' completely in Second life. All of the actors are avatars controlled by real people, as is the would-be camera (at least, that's the only way I know how to make a video in SL).
  2. Second, there's the location of the video, an eerily accurate digital replica of the 'glass cube' Apple retail store on 5th Avenue in New York. If you've been in the store you know how spot-on the replica is.
  3. Third, it would seem that the footage in the store is of people either being or pretending to be (wait, is there any difference in this case?) 'shoppers' and 'geniuses', etc., in the store. People hanging out, having conversations, wandering, playing... it's completely bizarre when you stop to think about it.
  4. Then there's the iPod ad/rave video playing on one of the Cinema Displays in the store, itself also a pretty amazing rendition of Apple content.
  5. Then you stop to think about how powerful the brand is that makes poeple want to volunteer to recreate this stuff. People love Apple so much that they spend god knows how much time (re) building the Apple store and shooting iPod videos??? Man...
